The most notable element of the artistic complex is the carved and painted 13th-century crucifix, known as the Crucifix of Blessed Brandano.
In fact, Brendan, a nonbeliever and blasphemer, after an accident that occurred while working in the fields near the church, converted and went before this effigy of Christ to give thanks for his escape.
